My Book in RW 2: "Love Actually"

 When I started to read Love Actually, I knew that it going to like me because I always have liked comedy and romance stories. And in fact, yes, I liked this. It is this kind of story that you read and read, and you want to know what will happen then. At the beginning it was a little difficult to remember all the characters and their names. However, after you are going relating their names with each story of love.  My favorite characters were Daniel and his stepson Sam. It is a heartwarming story about the union between a father and son despite death of their wife and mother. I loved when they went together to the airport to reach dismiss Joanna. And all the times that Sam felt bad, Daniel always encouraged him. Another thing that I liked was the movie because it is very similar the book. When you watch the movie you can recognize easily all the characters. Finally, I think this book it's easy to read, the vocabulary is simple and the expressions are very common. Definitely, I would recommend this book to others ESL students.

Games of Before vs Games of Now

   When I was child my favorite video game was Mortal Kombat. This video game is about heavy fighting between warriors and monsters that fight to the death, therefore it´s violent. All the characters were amazing and each one have special powers. In this play always you need an opponent, so sometime you could play with a partner or also play against the computer. The video game Mortal Kombat was so famous that a few time after came the film Mortal Kombat for all their fans. Today I don´t play more Mortal Combat because now I prefer other kind of games especially board games as: Scrabble, Sudoku, Solitaire and Candy Crush. These board game are very different than before because now you don't need a paper or table to play, you can play by phone, computer, ipad or tablet. Consequently, you can see how the games have been improving and adapting to new technologies.

Train in Calgary Vs Train in Venezuela

I have some recommendation for you about public transport when you want to come to Calgary. The most common way to transportation is by train and bus. I recommend you that you find the schedule and the map of your bus and remember that the schedule of weekend it´s different to the week days. On the bus and train you need to know about some basic rules of etiquette, for example: don´t make eye contact with the people, don´t speak with strangers, don´t listen loud music and don´t smoke. Another important thing is about the use of phones, don´t use your phone to least it is a emergency or a really an important thing, and try to speak low and fast. Of course, some rules are the same that our country Venezuela as: give your seat to elderly person, don´t put your feet on the seat, don't dirty, etc. However, the good new is that you can bring pets and bicycles on the bus and train, you can eat some kind of foods (without strong odors) and drink some beverages. All these are new for us because on the train in Venezuela these are not allowed. Now you know, if you remember these rules, you will not have any problem when you come to Calgary and you use the public transport.

By Air or By Land, All Depends

Flying is easy and fast and driving is relaxing and fun. Always that I can, I prefer to travel by plane. Of course, if the distance is short I like to travel by car driving in my truck. If the trip is to business always I use the airplane because it is very practice and fast, I can go and come the same day. I take the airplane too if I want to travel to other country for vacations. But travel by airplane has some disadvantage because you need to stay 2 or 3 hours before you trip for all the fastidious process of security and immigration. I know this process is for our safety, but the true is all people -honest - hates these. However, when I travel by car, I feel relaxing because I like to drive. I can see the sceneries, I can park to take pictures or eat in an interesting place. The bad of driving is some unpredictable things can happen in the way and we need to be prepared for these. So, all depends of the trip, sometime I travel by air and sometimes by land.

 

Crimes Online: These Don´t Need a Gun for Steal You

       Since a few years crimes online have come growing up.  This kind of modality is presented in several ways, for example: Receive fake emails of your bank asking about your information, email from an unknown person offering you a much money through a transfer online, fake web pages of sales of product or banks that look like at the original, among others. The strategy is make that you give them your account or credit card information and then they can steal your money easily. The recommendation is sure that the email really is from your bank, never answer email with your personal information and try to access to web pages of your bank without use Internet search engines. Remember they don´t need a gun for steal you, their main weapon is to make falling you into the trap.

 

Chocolate: My Sweet Sin

    I love the chocolate!!!! I think I am crazy for this. I like the chocolate in all their versions, like as: black chocolate, white chocolate or chocolate with milk. Also I like all kind of sweets or desserts that have chocolate, my favorites are: candy, cookies, brownie, chocolate volcano cakes, ice cream, chocolate cake, fondue and an endless more. Sometime I prepare some of these in my home and my family and I love them. I know that eat lots of chocolate can fatten, so I try to control myself, but sometimes I can not. What else I can do, this is my sweet sin.

If I Win the Lottery!!!

If I win the lottery I would buy many things. First thing would be to invest some money in shares of an important company. This would be a way to make my money keeps growing. Seconds, I would like to change my apartment for other more big one and same with my car. I would love a penthouse with balcony and a beautiful view to the city. Also I would like to help my family with some things that they need. Finally, I would help other persons or institutions that need help. I know about a lot of foundations and organizations that helps people, children and animals and this would be a good way I could collaborate with others. Definitely, there are many things I could do and buy if I win the lottery.

 

Nothing Better Like Spring

I love spring, for me nothing better like spring. I have to start telling that my birthday is in spring, so I am always happy when this spectacular season is coming. I love to see all the beautiful colors in the nature, flowers and trees, and feel the warm sun. One of the things that I like at this season is go to the beach. I like to take the sun, swimming and relax me, so I usually go to the beach with my family or my friends two or three time a month. Other thing that I do in spring is practice outdoor exercises. I like walking, jogging, bicycling and any other sport where you can enjoy outdoor. Finally I feel that everyone is in a good mood and happy with the arrival of spring. For example many people want to do BBQ, make meeting, go to the parties, make plans to travel, go to the shopping, teachers and students like to take classes in the gardens  and a lot of activities more. In summary, spring is a good season for sharing with your friends and family, enjoy making different things and exercises, and of course do not forget, to celebrate my birthday!!!. For all these reason spring it is my favorite season of year.

 
 



 



Margarita Island the Best Place to Live

Margarita Island in Venezuela is an amazing place and I would like to say you why I think is the best place to live. First reason is because Margarita is one of the principal tourist attractive in Venezuela and has a lot beautiful places for visit. In Margarita you can go to beaches, mountain, mangroves¹, castles, shopping malls, attractions parks, museums, casinos, night clubs and much more interesting places, you never will feel boring. Second reason is food because you can find a variety of fresh food markets and an endless restaurants. As be an island, some of more important food products that have Margarita are the fishes, lobster and all related with sea food, and of course the food always is fresh. If you prefer to eat outside you can visit a lot of good restaurants from high gourmet food, others cheaper or to the popular food stalls in the streets, but all these with typical and international food and good services. Finally but not less important, their people. I love the people in Margarita, the commonly called Margariteño² is super friendly and receptive, always has a good humor sense. The people in Margarita make that you feel as your home. One day I will live in Margarita, this is my dream, I can´t to think in a better place than not be Margarita to live.
